TransDimension Named One of Orange County's Fastest Growing Technology Companies in Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Program
IRVINE, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- Aug. 18, 2004 -- Recognition of Corporate Growth Follows Key Funding and Acquisition Announcements
TransDimension, a leading provider of USB connectivity solutions for embedded applications, will be named to Deloitte's prestigious Technology Fast 50 Program for Orange County, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the area by Deloitte & Touche LLP, one of the nation's leading professional services firms. Deloitte will formally announce the Orange County Technology Fast 50 rankings on October 4.
Technology Fast 50 rankings are based on the percentage of growth in fiscal year revenues over five years, from 1999-2003. "The Deloitte Orange County Technology Fast 50 companies have shown the strength, vision and temerity to succeed despite a very challenging technology environment," said Mark Miskinis, Deloitte partner, Technology, Media & Telecommunications practice, Costa Mesa. TransDimension's CEO Rick Goerner credits the company's fast growth over the past five years to leadership and innovation in the embedded interconnectivity space and the expansion of the consumer electronics market. "This recognition of our achievements is validation that TransDimension's commitment to USB connectivity for consumer electronics devices is on target," said Goerner.
This recognition comes on the heels of news that TransDimension acquired ARC International's Peripheral Connectivity assets and completed its Series C and Series D financing raising a total of $18.35 million. The combination of the ARC acquisition and the additional funding provides TransDimension with the ability to expand its wired USB product base and to further develop the company's peripheral connectivity focus into wireless USB. The company also recently announced that its UHC124 host controller and SoftConnex USBLink Host software will be used to support the PictBridge protocol in HP's PSC 1315 All-in-One Printer, Scanner, Copier.
TransDimension's solutions provide direct connectivity for a wide range of PC peripheral, consumer and mobile devices that until now have required an indirect means, such as a PC host, to exchange data. These embedded applications include cellular phones, set top boxes, PDAs, digital cameras and MP3 players, to name a few.
