"This is a great communications tool for Kentuckians to find Education Cabinet information and to contact us," said Secretary Fox. "Kentuckians will be able to find contact information, news, photographs and information about the agencies in our cabinet."

The newly-designed Web site includes a "Thank your Kentucky Teacher" feature that allows students or former students to send a message to a teacher who has made a difference in their lives. Users can also read comments others have left for their favorite teachers.

The Web site also reflects the Cabinet's reorganization and includes information on each of its 11 agencies. Those agencies include the Governor's Scholars Program; Commission on the Deaf and Hard of Hearing; Department for Workforce Investment; Council on Postsecondary Education; Kentucky Department of Education; Martin Luther King Jr. State Commission; and Education Professional Standards Board. Other agencies include the Environmental Education Council; Department for Libraries and Archives; Kentucky Educational Television; and the Kentucky Center for School Safety.

The new site also features a search engine that allows users to search all Kentucky government Web sites for more information on education in the Commonwealth.

The redesigned and updated Cabinet site is the result of a partnership between the Kentucky Education Cabinet and Kentucky.gov, the state's official Web site.
