DHL Executive to Lead Computing Technology Industry Association Board; Robert J. Sartor Elected Chairman at Association's Annual Breakaway Conference

ORLANDO, Fla. --(Business Wire)-- Aug. 5, 2004 -- An information technology (IT) industry executive with more than 20 years of experience will lead the board of directors of the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) in 2004-2005, the association announced today.

Robert J. Sartor, director of industry and customer programs for DHL, was elected chairman of the CompTIA board of directors at the association's annual Breakaway conference, the IT industry's premiere partnering event for solutions providers and resellers. Sartor has more than two decades of experience in developing, implementing and supporting systems for transportation management, shipment tracking, export/import, customs clearance, and warehousing and distribution.

Sartor succeeds David P. Smith as chairman of the CompTIA board of directors. Smith, vice president of workplace outsourcing for CompuCom, continues to serve as an ex officio member of the board.

Elected vice chairman of the CompTIA board of directors was Martin Bean, chief operating officer of New Horizons Worldwide, where he is responsible for all company-owned and franchised locations around the world. An 18-year veteran of the training and education industry, Bean also leads integrated learning solutions initiatives for New Horizons.

Other new officers include Jon Reardon, vice president and general manager, Konica Minolta Business Solutions USA, Inc., who was elected treasurer; and Kevin Gilroy, senior vice president, worldwide SMB segment operations for Hewlett Packard Company, elected secretary of the CompTIA board.

Also elected to the CompTIA board of directors were David Bernstein, vice president, remarketing, Anything IT; Alan Borck, president, ARC Communications; Margo Day, vice president, U.S. partner group, Microsoft Corp.; Rick Gray, director, strategic alliances, DecisionOne; Mark Hanny, vice president, ISV alliances, IBM Corporation; Steve Harper, president, Network Management Group; Edward Hunter, general manager, Champion Networks; Talal Kheir, managing director, TECH Connect Group LTD.; Todd Meister, vice president, North America channel sales, Avaya; Wayne Mize, group vice president, tech solutions center, Ricoh Corp.; Pete Peterson, vice president, product marketing, software and systems division, Tech Data Corp.; Ted Roller, president, Oxford Systems Integration, Inc.; and Dan Schwab, vice president, marketing, D&H Distributing.
