TMC Adds Fonality-Sponsored trixbox Training Courses to Internet
Telephony Conference & EXPO

Technology Marketing Corp. (TMC) announced that it has added a new
trixbox Open Communication Certification (FtOCC) course to the program
at the upcoming Internet Telephony Conference & EXPO West 2007 on
September 10-12, at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Titled "FtOCC Technician", the new course provides telephony resellers
and IT professionals with in-depth technical training on Fonality
PBXtra, as well as trixbox CE and the newly introduced trixbox Pro.
FtOCC Technician, and the previously scheduled "FtOCC Administrator",
are being presented in collaboration with Fonality, an open source
telephony company.
FtOCC Technician is a three-day technical certification course designed
to train resellers and consultants how to support customers running
trixbox CE, trixbox Pro and PBXtra systems. Taught by Fonality
technical support instructors, FtOCC Technician includes an in-depth
look at platform and application installation, carrier setup and
integration, network configuration, echo causes and remedies, and other
common issues. FtOCC Technician is for Linux technicians and engineers
who regularly support client installations. Upon completion of FtOCC
Technician, Fonality Authorized and Premium Resellers qualify for full
reseller discounts on trixbox Pro and PBXtra.
FtOCC Administrator teaches the basics of trixbox CE and Pro
installation and administration. This course is a hands-on way for
resellers who are new to trixbox to learn the ins and outs of trixbox
Pro and CE, and master the basics of installing and maintaining those
systems. It covers all of the core operations that a trixbox
administrator needs to handle on a regular basis.

FtOCC Technician includes training on the recently introduced trixbox
Pro, a new offering created for resellers and IT professionals. trixbox
Pro is a "hybrid-hosted" phone system, so the IP-PBX and application
software is downloaded to a customer site and installed on a
centralized PC. It then connects to the Fonality network where system
health, availability, call quality and usage are constantly monitored.
This free hosting service also allows users to take their work phone
number with them and use a mobile device as a primary phone, or have
calls ring through to a PC at home or any other remote location. The
entire trixbox Pro user experience call be branded with any look and
feel. All product logos, screen appearance and color schemes can be
completely customized to match the brand of the reseller or end
customer. trixbox Pro also comes in seven different localized versions,
including US English, UK English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese
and Spanish.
